  • Hands-on experience in:

    • RAID management
    • Reporting & governance
    • Budget tracking/financial forecasting

Core Skills

  • Strong analytical capability
    • Ability to interpret complex data and derive insights
  • Strong documentation skills
    • Reports, briefing papers, presentations
  • Strong communication & stakeholder management
    • Across senior and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to challenge constructively (very important BOE trait)

  • Highly organised and proactive self-starter
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities & conflicting demands
  • Strong collaborative mindset across teams and boundaries
  • Experience in mentoring/supporting team members

  • RAID log ownership (not just support)
  • Stakeholder engagement (senior level)

  • Meeting governance (boards, steering committees)
  • Continuous improvement mindset (PMO maturity)

Role Requirements Essential Criteria

  • An organised and proactive self-starter who is able to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Experience of working in a PMO environment on high priority, complex, business and IT programmes and projects, including:
  • Experience of producing high quality documentation, briefing papers, reports and presentations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex sources of data and draw conclusions and derive recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) able to connect with people at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to challenge constructively whilst maintaining excellent working relationships within the programme community and with team members
  • Able to work collaboratively across project and organisational boundaries to achieve shared goals
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle a diverse workload and prioritise amid conflicting demands and lively work periods
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching team members, including those more senior
  • Excellent MS Office skills, including Microsoft Project and Excel
