Salary: up to £42000 per annum
Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced EDI Consultant to join our client based in Bristol on a permanent basis.
The ideal EDI Consultant will contribute to achieving the objectives of the HR and Organisational Development function by providing specialist input and advice on EDI policies and legislation.
The duties of the EDI Consultant include:
Reviewing and developing HR policies to ensure clarity, fairness and compliance with employment legislation
Supporting organisational projects requiring HR or policy expertise, particularly those shaping workforce culture
Acting as a key HR link with managers and colleagues to promote consistent and fair people practices
Contributing to learning resources and training that enhance people‑management capability
Providing workforce insights to inform Equality Impact Assessments (EqIAs) on HR policy and employment matters
Supporting the development and review of policies to embed fairness, accessibility and inclusion
Acting as a key HR link for colleague networks, strengthening engagement and colleague voice
Using feedback and data to identify EDI risks, gaps and improvement opportunities
The EDI Consultant will ideally have:
Experience of working in a similar role within Local Government
CIPD Level 5 qualified or qualified by experience
Experience of providing workforce insights to inform Equality Impact Assessments (EqIAs)
Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and EDI practice
The EDI Consultant will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
