About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS SEND Teacher to join our supportive and inclusive early years setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) during their crucial early development stages.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, tailored learning experiences that support each child’s individual needs, ensuring they thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the EYFS framework
Support children with a range of SEND, including ASD, speech and language needs, and developmental delays
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions
Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and external professionals
Monitor, assess, and record children’s progress effectively
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working within Early Years (EYFS)
Proven experience supporting children with SEND
Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach
Desirable
Additional SEND qualifications or training
Experience working with EHCPs
Knowledge of behaviour support strategies
