Location: Beckfoot Allerton Primary, Beckfoot Heaton School, Beckfoot Nessfield, Beckfoot Priesthorpe
Contract: Part-time opportunities available
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Primary Teachers to join our partnership primary schools within the Beckfoot Trust. Beckfoot Allerton Primary, Beckfoot Heaton School, Beckfoot Nessfield, and Beckfoot Priesthorpe are all vibrant and inclusive schools committed to creating an environment where every pupil can thrive.
As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in planning and delivering lessons that meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs, while promoting positive behaviour and a love of learning.
A key aspect of this role is creating an inclusive classroom where barriers to learning are identified and addressed through effective teaching strategies, differentiation, and strong relationships with pupils. You will also support pupils’ social and emotional development, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and motivated to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
Assess, monitor, and record pupils’ progress, using data to inform planning and next steps
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports all learners
Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies, promoting high expectations
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND, EAL, and varying abilities
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to support learning and pupil progress
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupils’ progress and well-being
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including meetings, events, and extracurricular activities where appropriate
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of all pupils
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching in a primary school setting (including ECTs are welcome to apply)
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil achievement
A proactive and flexible approach to working across different school settings
An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
