Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) - Female Only

Location: Coventry
Salary: £28,276 - £29,776 DOE
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours, Mon-Fri + rota)

About the Role

We are recruiting an IDVA to support individuals experiencing domestic abuse, honour-based abuse, and related risks. You'll manage a caseload, carry out risk assessments, create safety plans, and provide advocacy through multi-agency working (including MARAC).

Key Duties

Manage high/medium risk cases (80-100 annually)

Conduct risk assessments and safety planning

Provide crisis support and ongoing advocacy

Work with police, housing, and support services

Attend MARAC and multi-agency meetings

Maintain accurate case records

Requirements

Experience supporting domestic abuse survivors or vulnerable groups

Strong safeguarding knowledge

Experience in risk assessment and case management

Excellent communication and organisation skills

Fluent in English and at least one BAME/community language

Desirable: IDVA qualification, MARAC experience

Additional Info

Strong understanding of BAME/migrant community barriers is essential

Driving licence desirable

Enhanced DBS required
