We’re looking for a qualified Finance Analyst to join our Group Finance team, supporting a key finance transformation and process improvement programme across the Axis CLC Group.

Reporting to the Group Finance Process Improvement Director, you’ll play a key role in improving revenue recognition, work in progress (WIP) and accrued income processes across the Group, helping to embed stronger controls, improve reporting quality and s You’ll take ownership of key month-end activities, ensuring calculations, reconciliations and financial reporting are accurate, controlled and audit-ready.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience across technical accounting, finance transformation and process improvement within a growing national organisation.

Responsibilities

* Prepare and maintain monthly WIP and accrued income calculations, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

* Perform reconciliations between accounting and operational systems, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

* Support the application of FRS 102 revenue recognition principles across a range of contract types.

* Prepare journals, reconciliations and supporting analysis as part of the month-end close process.

* Maintain audit-ready documentation, working papers and supporting schedules.

* Work with Commercial Finance teams to validate assumptions and understand contract performance drivers.

* Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality and reporting efficiency.

* Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with Group policies and controls.

About You

* You're a qualified accountant with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and a passion for improving financial processes.

* You enjoy working with data, solving problems and delivering accurate, high-quality financial information.

* Qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA preferred), ideally with around 1 year PQE.

* Strong understanding of financial accounting, reconciliations and financial controls.

* Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, modelling and reconciliation.

* Experience supporting month-end reporting and audit processes.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.

* Knowledge of FRS 102 revenue recognition principles would be advantageous.

* Experience within construction, property, maintenance or contract-based environments is beneficial.

* Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
