Town Planner / Senior Town Planner
Birmingham

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner to join a highly regarded, independent planning and development consultancy in their Birmingham office. This is an excellent role for a motivated individual looking to develop their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, working on high-profile projects across the UK.

The Opportunity
This position offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects spanning residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering planning advice to a wide range of clients, including developers, housebuilders, investors, and public sector organisations.

Key Responsibilities
·Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
·Undertaking site appraisals and feasibility assessments
·Developing planning strategies and providing policy advice
·Producing development plan representations
·Supporting projects through all stages of the planning process, including Environmental Impact Assessments
·Liaising with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders

About You
·Degree qualified (minimum 2:1 or equivalent), ideally with a postgraduate qualification in a relevant RTPI/RICS-accredited subject
·Working towards or holding MRTPI (or equivalent)
·Strong analytical, written, and presentation skills
·Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively
·Interest in business development, innovation, and the planning sector
