The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care while leading and supporting the care team throughout your shift.
Working closely with residents, families, nurses and colleagues, you'll help ensure the highest standards of person-centred care are consistently achieved. You'll act as a role model for the team, supporting colleagues while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing for every resident.
Key Responsibilities
Leading and supporting the care team during day shifts
Delivering high-quality, person-centred care
Assisting residents with personal care and daily living activities
Supporting medication administration and monitoring
Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
Promoting a safe, positive and welcoming environment
Encouraging residents' independence, wellbeing and engagement
Mentoring and supporting junior members of the care team
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about providing outstanding care and enjoys leading and motivating others.
You will have:
Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or similar role within a nursing, residential or dementia care setting
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia
Medication administration experience (desirable)
Strong communication and leadership skills
A compassionate, proactive and team-focused approach
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional care
