Laser Cutting Service Engineer
Location: UK-wide
Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 (DOE) + overtime + door-to-door travel pay

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Laser Cutting Service Engineer to join a leading manufacturer and service provider of industrial laser cutting systems. This is a field-based role covering installation, maintenance, breakdown support, and servicing of high-precision laser cutting machinery across a range of manufacturing environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong electrical, mechanical, and CNC/laser experience to join a growing business with strong technical backing and ongoing investment in technology.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and service industrial laser cutting machines
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and software faults
Provide reactive breakdown support across customer sites
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Work with CNC controls, laser optics, and automation systems
Provide on-site technical support and customer training
Complete service reports and documentation accurately
Liaise with engineering and technical support teams
Requirements
Proven experience as a Service Engineer in CNC, laser cutting, or similar capital equipment
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience with industrial automation or machine tools
Understanding of CNC systems and controls (e.g. Siemens, Fanuc, or similar)
Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel nationally and stay overnight when required
Desirable
Experience with Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, Mazak or similar laser systems
Background in machine tools, fabrication equipment, or CNC service
Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge
Field service engineering experience in a customer-facing role
