White Label Recruitment are working with a well-established electromechanical manufacturer based in North Bradford who are looking to recruit a Production Technician to join their growing manufacturing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing professional who wants to take ownership of technical assembly, process improvement, shop floor development and production support within a fast-paced engineering environment.
The role would suit someone with strong experience in production, assembly or manufacturing environments, ideally within electromechanical, CNC, machining or technical assembly-based settings.
The business designs and manufactures electromechanical components including solenoids, switches and winches, supplying into defence, medical and industrial OEM markets. Following a significant turnaround in the last three years, the business is now in a strong growth phase with increasing production demand and continued investment in its people, processes and manufacturing capability.
The Role:
* Train, mentor, and develop assembly staff on new and existing products to build a flexible, multi-skilled, and capable workforce
* Learn, maintain, and master all technical assembly processes, setting and operating machinery, and performing hands-on product assembly and testing
* Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings, with experience using AutoCAD highly preferable
* Review, and maintain accurate component/assembly routings and Bills of Materials (BOM)
* Actively drive 5S and Kaizen programmes to optimise shop floor efficiency, cleanliness, and output quality
* Implement Lean methodologies including SPC, Process Flow, Poka-Yoke, and line balancing
The Person:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing, production or assembly environment
* Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD experience highly desirable)
* Hands-on experience in assembly or manufacturing operations
* Experience working with BOMs and routings (desirable)
* Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, SPC, Poka-Yoke, process flow)
* Confident communicator with the ability to train and support others
* Proven ability to identify and drive process improvements
* Experience within electromechanical, CNC, machining or engineering environments advantageous
* Strong attention to detail and quality focus
* Good organisation and problem-solving skills
* Full UK driving licence preferred
