Location: Woodford Green, Essex

Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Welfare Officer to join a specialist education setting supporting children and young people with complex additional needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a caring nature who is passionate about promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of pupils while working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
The Role
As the Medical Welfare Officer, you will:
Provide medical care and day-to-day wellbeing support to pupils.
Administer prescribed medication safely and accurately.
Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure medical plans are current and effective.
Attend medical reviews and multidisciplinary meetings where required.
Maintain the safe storage and administration of medication and medical supplies.
Ensure school procedures relating to first aid, seizures, moving and handling, and feeding are followed at all times.
Support the Senior Leadership Team in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for all pupils.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Experience working with children or young people (experience within SEND is desirable).
Good IT and administrative skills.
A caring, professional, and proactive approach.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
