Location: Nottingham
Commutable from: Derby, Long Eaton, Ilkeston, Mansfield, Newark, Chesterfield, Hucknall, Sutton-in-Ashfield
Pay Rate: £15.00 - £22.00 per hour
Shift: Days - Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00
Nights - Monday to Thursday 18:00 - 04:30
About the Company
Our client is a well-established structural steel manufacturer supplying fabricated components to major construction and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.
Due to continued growth and increasing workload, they are looking to recruit experienced MIG Welder Fabricators to join their night shift team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with regular overtime available and the chance to work on large-scale structural steel projects.
The Role
Experienced in heavy gauge structural steel welding? Confident completing positional, multi-run and butt welds?
We are recruiting an experienced MIG Welder Fabricator to join a busy fabrication team manufacturing structural steel components for major construction and infrastructure projects.
Working from engineering drawings, you will be responsible for both fabrication and welding, producing high-quality structural assemblies while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
MIG welding heavy gauge structural steel
Fabricating components from engineering drawings
Multi-run welding on thick section materials
Butt welds and positional welding
Flux Core welding (advantageous)
Using fabrication machinery, hand tools and workshop equipment
Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met
Working safely within a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbout You
Previous experience as a MIG Welder Fabricator
Experience within structural steel or heavy engineering environments
Strong MIG welding ability
Able to complete positional welds confidently
Experienced working with heavy gauge materials
Competent producing multi-run and butt welds
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Flux Core welding experience would be highly advantageous
Apprentice trained or time served would be beneficial
Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to qualityHow to Apply
