Based in Dungannon
£34,000 - £38,000 DOE plus company benefits

Delighted to be supporting this growing FMCG / Distribution business in the recruitment of a proactive and motivated Health & Safety Officer to join their expanding team.

Working closely with the Senior Leadership team, including a CMIOSH who will act as a mentor, the Health & Safety Officer will take ownership of site health and safety performance, ensuring legislative compliance, reducing risk, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

Role Requirements:

NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Health & Safety qualification (essential)
2-3 years' experience within a Health & Safety role
Experience within food manufacturing, warehousing, cold storage, or similar operational environments highly desirable
Proven experience in auditing, workplace inspections, and incident investigations
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Responsibilities:

Conduct regular risk assessments, workplace inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate hazards
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommendations
Maintain accurate records relating to incidents, inspections, and risk assessments
Coordinate and deliver health and safety training programmes and maintain the site training matrix
Support emergency preparedness, including fire safety procedures and first aid arrangements
Drive a positive safety culture through coaching, communication, and engagement across all departments
Ensure the correct provision and use of PPE and safety equipment
Monitor and maintain first aid provisions throughout the site
Work collaboratively with management teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in health and safety performance
