Typically, this person will be an experienced Technical Product Manager with strong technical knowledge of satellite communications, IP networking, and technology products. They will be responsible for managing products throughout their lifecycle, supporting product launches, providing technical expertise to internal teams and customers, and translating complex technical features into clear commercial benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Technical Product Manager:

Act as the technical product subject matter expert across a portfolio of satellite communications and technology products.
Support the full product lifecycle from concept, launch, enhancement, and end-of-life management.
Produce and translate technical content into customer-focused collateral including white papers, brochures, application notes, user guides, technical updates, and sales support materials.
Assist with go-to-market strategies, product positioning, key benefits, and target customer identification.
Support the launch of new products and services through collaboration with engineering, marketing, sales, logistics, and support teams.
Conduct product evaluations and provide technical expertise during new product introduction projects.
Attend customer meetings, demonstrations, exhibitions, and industry events to provide technical product support.
Gather and document requirements for internal and external software development projects.
Manage internal product-related projects and coordinate activities across multiple departments.
Deliver technical training to sales, support, and operational teams.
Conduct competitor analysis and create comparison documentation and supporting collateral.
Manage relationships with hardware manufacturers and assess new product capabilities and integration opportunities.
Support the distribution of technical service information and product updates throughout the business. Qualifications and Requirements for the Technical Product Manager:

Previous Technical Product Management experience is essential.
Strong knowledge of IP networking.
Experience within mobile satellite communications, telecommunications, connectivity, or technology sectors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing hardware suppliers and evaluating new technologies.
Proven experience in requirements capture and application.
Project management experience.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Self-motivated with a customer-focused approach and strong team-working skills.
Willingness and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Flexible approach and willingness to undertake occasional travel. Desirable:

Knowledge of modern digital satellite communications and IT systems.
Experience with VSAT networks and infrastructure.
