Head of Operations
Location: Bristol (onsite)
Salary: £75-90k base, plus equity and bonuses
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Head of Operations to help build and scale a category-defining supply chain business.
Our client operates with a clear mission: to restore fish stocks and the marine environment by building a global network of regenerative producers and delivering their products through a transparent, trusted, and technology-driven supply chain.
Operating within a multi-billion-pound global market that remains largely manual and fragmented, the business is transforming how supply, trading, fulfilment and customer experience come together. Having already achieved strong organic growth, they are now entering a critical scaling phase.
The Role
The Head of Operations will take full ownership of the end-to-end supply chain, from supplier through to customer delivery.
This individual will be responsible for building a scalable, efficient, and high-performing operation that can support ambitious growth plans without compromising on quality, service, or trust.
This is a rare opportunity to design and implement a best-in-class operation from the ground up, rather than inheriting legacy systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Service Excellence - Ensure all orders are delivered On Time, In Full, and to the highest quality standards
End-to-End Operations - Oversee processing, logistics, fulfilment, and supplier flow
Unit Economics - Manage costs across labour, logistics, packaging, and infrastructure to support scalable growth
Supplier & Inventory Management - Optimise freshness, minimise waste, and balance supply with demand
Capacity Planning - Align operational capability with commercial objectives
Process Design & Optimisation - Build and continuously improve scalable, tech-enabled processes
Team Leadership - Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing operations function
Performance Management - Establish clear KPIs, reporting, and operational visibility
Leadership & Culture - Contribute to a high-performance, values-driven leadership teamWhat we’re looking for:

Significant experience leading end-to-end physical operations, ideally within food, fresh produce, e-commerce fulfilment or similar environments
A track record of success in high-growth, fast-paced businesses
A passion for continuous improvement, efficiency and scalable process design
Strong leadership capability, with experience building and developing high-performing teams
Solid commercial and financial acumen, with an understanding of how operational decisions impact profitability
A data-driven mindset, with experience leveraging KPIs and performance frameworks
Expertise across logistics, fulfilment, and customer delivery operations
An interest in technology and digital transformation within operationsWhy Apply?

Opportunity to build and shape an operation from the ground up
Join a mission-led business driving real environmental impact
Be part of an ambitious, high-growth journey
Work closely with a committed and forward-thinking leadership team
Play a critical role in defining the future of the business
This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and play a pivotal role in shaping both the operational model and the future direction of the business
