Job Specification - Warehouse Scanning Operative (Part-Time)

Hours

Tuesday to Friday
Bicester, Oxfordshire-OX26
£15.01 an hour and weekly pay
4:00 am-8:00 am or 5:00 am-9:00 am (16 hours per week)
Optional 5-hour shifts available (20 hours per week)Job Purpose

To accurately receive, scan, sort, and prepare stock while ensuring warehouse operations run efficiently, safely, and to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Scan products using handheld barcode scanners.
Receive, unload, and check incoming deliveries.
Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
Sort and organise stock into designated storage locations.
Label and prepare goods for dispatch.
Carry out stock counts and inventory checks.
Report damaged or missing items.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
Follow company procedures and health and safety regulations.
Work efficiently to meet productivity targets.Skills and Experience

Essential

Good attention to detail.
Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Ability to follow instructions accurately.
Reliable and punctual.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable using handheld scanning devices or willing to learn.Desirable

Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
Experience with barcode scanners or warehouse management systems.
Manual handling experience
