Job Title – Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist/Product Stewardship Specialist for our client that is a specialist chemical manufacturer. Our client is an international chemical manufacturing company with locations across the globe. This position is a full-time permanent position based at one of their sites in Trafford Park.
Summary:
Provide hazard communications compliance for new and existing products manufactured at, imported to, or exported from all sites in UK and Europe. Facilitate product hazard communications by generating and publishing legally compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and product labels in compliance with Global Harmonized Standards. Provide customer responses to product inquiries and compliance questions including regulations such as REACH, BPR, or others. Review all product shipping classifications for compliance with transportation and packaging standards.
* Preparation and revision of material data safety sheets (SDS) according to prevailing international regulations
* Maintaining the SDS database and ensuring our supply and transportation of dangerous goods complies with European legislation
* Providing technical expertise on hazard information and communications
* Supporting customer communication in relation to regulatory compliance enquiries
* Assessment of current and potentially new raw materials for SDS, hazard and regulatory impacts
* Supporting new product introduction to the manufacturing operation
* Registration of all relevant products to EU poison centres
* Supporting UK and EU biocide requirements
* Maintaining an awareness of new and emerging regulations around the world
Requirements:
Degree in Chemistry or related field (essential)
