Coba Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Wellingborough, who are looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join their team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and passionate individual to take a lead role in shaping SEND provision and making a meaningful impact on students’ outcomes and wellbeing.

The Role

As SENCO, you will play a key role in leading and developing the school’s SEND provision, ensuring every student receives the support they need to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to create inclusive and effective learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the provision for students with SEND across the school
Oversee EHCPs, reviews, and interventions to ensure high-quality support
Advise and support teaching staff on inclusive classroom strategies
Monitor student progress and implement targeted support plans
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies
Ensure compliance with statutory SEND requirements and policies
Promote an inclusive culture across the school

What the School is Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards)
Proven experience working with SEND in a secondary setting
Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
A passion for inclusion and improving outcomes for all learners
