Spire Clare Park Hospital is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our established and busy pharmacy team. This role is integral to the delivery of a safe, effective and high‑quality pharmacy service, in line with current legislation, professional standards and clinical best practice.
With over 35 years of service, Spire Clare Park Hospital provides a wide range of surgical, medical, outpatient and diagnostic imaging services to adults, children and young people across Surrey and Hampshire. Recently rated 'Good' by the CQC, the hospital offers specialties including cosmetic surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, general surgery and women's health. Facilities include three operating theatres (two laminar flow), 34 inpatient and day‑case beds, and a three‑bed enhanced recovery unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver a comprehensive pharmacy service across the hospital
Provide expert advice and support to consultants, nurses and clinical teams to ensure the safe, effective and cost‑efficient use of medicines
Contribute to personalised, patient‑centred care with empathy and professionalism
Develop strong collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams to improve clinical outcomes
Identify and implement opportunities for service improvement, including new processes or equipment
Maintain up‑to‑date clinical knowledge in line with evolving prescribing practice and servicesSpire Clare Park offers excellent opportunities for pharmacists to expand clinical knowledge across a broad range of specialties and patient pathways.
Who We're Looking For
Degree‑qualified Pharmacist
Current GPhC registration
Minimum 1 year post‑qualification hospital experience
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with patients and clinical colleagues
Motivated to deliver a high‑quality pharmacy service in a hospital environment
Non‑medical prescribing qualification desirable
Must hold a full UK driving licenceBenefits
