An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This vacancy has become available due to an internal promotion, reflecting the company's commitment to developing and progressing its employees.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving plant reliability, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
This is a predominantly mechanical role (around 90%), so we're looking for someone with a strong mechanical engineering background. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is highly desirable, along with a basic understanding of fault finding on control systems. You'll be involved in maintaining and repairing a wide range of manufacturing equipment, ensuring the site continues to operate safely and efficiently.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
* Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
* Service, maintain and overhaul machinery
* Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
* Support continuous improvement and maintenance systems
* Ensure all work is completed in line with Health, Safety & Environmental standards
* Work proactively to minimise downtime and improve performance
👤 About You
* Previous work experience in a similar maintenance role
* Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics & pneumatics
* Experience with fabrication and welding is desirable
* Positive, proactive and flexible approach
⏰ Working Hours
* Rotating 3-shift pattern (days, afternoons, nights)
* " Rotating 3-shift pattern (Days, Afternoons, Nights)
* " Monday to Thursday:
* Days: 6:00am - 2:00pm
* Afternoons: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
* Nights: 10:00pm - 6:00am
* " Friday (short shift):
* Days: 6:00am - 1:00pm
* Afternoons: 11:00am - 6:00pm
* Nights: 6:00pm - 12:00am
40 hours per week
