Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across high-speed production and packaging machinery
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
Lead and support root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurring equipment failures
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve plant reliability and performance
Complete pre- and post-maintenance inspections to ensure equipment operates to the highest standards
Support lubrication programmes and preventative maintenance strategies
Coach production teams on autonomous maintenance activities and equipment care
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS system
Promote high engineering standards, 5S and best practice across the department
Work closely with production and operational teams to maximise equipment availability
Skills & Qualifications of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
Apprentice-trained engineer with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification
Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled maintenance background
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or automated production environments
Experience using CMMS systems
Knowledge of SCADA systems advantageous
Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
Strong communication and team-working skills
Benefits of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
Basic salary: £56,983.68
Quarterly performance bonus (£325 - £750)
OTE exceeding £60,000
Continental 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days / 2 nights)
Company pension with up to 10% employer contribution
25 days holiday with the option to buy and sell additional leave
