Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a world-class manufacturing business where engineering is genuinely valued?

We are working with a leading global food manufacturer producing some of the UK's best-known snack brands. This highly automated manufacturing facility continues to invest heavily in its people, equipment and engineering capability, creating an environment where maintenance is proactive, continuous improvement is encouraged and engineers are given every opportunity to develop their careers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, well-established engineering team working on state-of-the-art production and packaging equipment. Rather than simply responding to breakdowns, you'll play a key role in improving equipment reliability, supporting engineering projects and helping drive operational excellence across the site.

Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across high-speed production and packaging machinery

Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime

Lead and support root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurring equipment failures

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve plant reliability and performance

Complete pre- and post-maintenance inspections to ensure equipment operates to the highest standards

Support lubrication programmes and preventative maintenance strategies

Coach production teams on autonomous maintenance activities and equipment care

Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS system

Promote high engineering standards, 5S and best practice across the department

Work closely with production and operational teams to maximise equipment availability

Skills & Qualifications of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

Apprentice-trained engineer with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification

Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled maintenance background

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or automated production environments

Experience using CMMS systems
