Full Stack Software Engineer

4 Month Contract

The Role

We're hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a greenfield build for a globally recognised enterprise client in the field service/maintenance space.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building both the Front End (React dashboard with live, Real Time job updates) and Back End (APIs, services) for a new scheduling system
• Implementing Real Time features using WebSockets - live dashboard updates as jobs are created, accepted, and completed
• Designing and building RESTful APIs
• Working with SQL and NoSQL databases (MS SQL, MongoDB) and Redis for caching/Real Time data
• Collaborating closely with two existing contractors already on the project, plus a designer
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practice

Tech Stack

• Frontend: JavaScript, ReactJS, TypeScript
• Backend: JavaScript/TypeScript, ExpressJS
• Data: SQL, MS SQL, MongoDB, Redis
• APIs: RESTful APIs
• Infrastructure: AWS (infra support provided by a dedicated team, you won't need to own this)
• Nice to have: Docker, CI/CD pipeline experience

What We're Looking For

• Strong, demonstrable React experience - you know it inside and out
• Comfortable across the full stack, with solid Back End/API knowledge
• Experience with WebSockets or Real Time/live data features
• Database experience across SQL and NoSQL (Redis a bonus)
• A team player who can hit the ground running on a greenfield project
