The Role - Graduate SEMH Teaching Assistant
As a Graduate SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work with pupils who present a range of additional needs including SEMH, ADHD, Autism, attachment difficulties, trauma-related needs, and behavioural challenges.
Supporting pupils through 1:1 mentoring, small-group interventions, and classroom assistance, you will help them regulate emotions, improve engagement with learning, and develop the confidence and resilience needed to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
Working alongside experienced teachers, pastoral staff, and SEN professionals, you will help implement personalised behaviour strategies and targeted interventions that support each pupil's individual needs. You will become a consistent, positive role model, building strong relationships founded on trust, patience, and mutual respect.
