My client is seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to deliver an £8m new build leisure facility project. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional with 3–5 years’ site management experience who holds all relevant site qualifications and is looking to progress within a growing business.
The role is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, with a strong likelihood of a permanent position for the right candidate following successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day management of site operations on a new build leisure facility project
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered to programme, quality, and safety standards
Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, conducting toolbox talks and site inductions
Monitor project progress against programme, reporting to the Project Manager
Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations
Maintain high standards of quality control and carry out inspections
Manage site logistics, materials, and deliveries efficiently
Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships
Keep accurate site records including RAMS, permits, and daily reports
Resolve on-site issues efficiently to avoid project delays
Requirements
3–5 years’ experience as a Site Manager on new build construction projects (ideally within commercial or leisure sectors)
Proven experience delivering projects in the £5m–£10m range
Valid and in-date site certifications including:
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
CSCS Card (Black or Gold preferred)
First Aid at Work
Strong knowledge of health & safety compliance and CDM regulations
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple trades and prioritise workloads effectively
Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings/specifications
IT literate (site reporting tools, email, MS Office)
Desirable
Experience working on leisure, sports, or public sector facilities
Temporary works coordination experience or ticket
NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent) in Construction Site Management
