Pastoral Lead & DSL
Salary: £34,361-£37,368 per annum (actual), dependent on qualifications, plus £3,000 welcome bonus (with SEN experience).
Working Pattern: Permanent, Full Time, Term Time Only, 40 hours per week. Hours: 8:15am start; Monday-Wednesday 4:45pm finish, Thursday 5:00pm, Friday 4:00pm.
Lead on safeguarding, behaviour, attendance, and student wellbeing, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for pupils with ASC. Work closely with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to implement safeguarding and behaviour policies, coordinate targeted interventions, monitor attendance and engagement, deliver CPD, and provide reports to SLT and Governors. Act as the school's DSL and LAC Lead, oversee EVC compliance, support EHCP interventions, and provide rapid pastoral support to pupils requiring additional support.
Essential Requirements:
GCSE English & Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
Experience working with children with ASD/SEMH
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
Experience managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
Excellent communication, organisational, and partnership-working skills
Desirable:
Level 3 qualification in working with CYP
Qualifications in behavioural approaches or psychology
