A growing engineering group with multiple specialist divisions is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator with a strong CNC machining background to support increasing demand and a strong pipeline of new work.

With continued growth across industrial, energy and emerging high-performance sectors, the business is currently at capacity when it comes to quoting new opportunities. This is a key hire to unlock further growth, improve responsiveness to customers, and support diversification into new markets.

What you’ll do

* Produce accurate and timely quotes for CNC machined, precision-engineered components

* Manage a growing backlog of enquiries and support increased quoting demand

* Work closely with operations and production teams to assess feasibility, machining methods and lead times

* Support the business in diversifying its customer base and product offering

* Engage with customers across sectors including energy, industrial and high-performance engineering

* Contribute to continuous improvement in estimating processes and systems

What we’re looking for

* Strong CNC machining background (essential)

* Minimum 2+ years’ experience in an estimating role within precision engineering or manufacturing

* Strong understanding of machining processes, materials and component complexity

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Highly organised with strong attention to detail

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

* Proactive and able to work collaboratively with operations and commercial teams
