Are you a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor looking for a full-time role in a welcoming secondary school?
A well-regarded secondary school south of Stockport is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where you'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour.

The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
Maintain a positive, focused learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively
Support students with their learning and encourage high levels of engagement
Take registers and provide clear feedback to teaching staff following each lesson
Build positive relationships with students and work collaboratively with the wider school team
Play an active role in the day-to-day life of the school

To be considered for this role, you will:
Have experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Sports Coach, Tutor, or in a similar role
Be confident leading classes and managing behaviour positively
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be reliable, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people
Be able to provide suitable references, hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check, and have the Right to Work in the UK
