Axon Moore are partnering with a major logistics organisation in Anglesey to recruit an exceptional Head of Accounts Payable. This is a high‑impact leadership role within a complex, high‑volume environment, ideal for someone who thrives on driving transformation and elevating team performance.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the AP function, leading a large team of 25 and spearheading the business’s journey toward digitalisation, and the use of AI‑driven tools. Key Responsibilities

Lead, inspire, and develop a large Accounts Payable team
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance
Lead on automation initiatives, including AI‑enabled solutions and workflow optimisation
Oversee all AP operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial controls
Build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Deliver insightful reporting and KPIs to senior finance leadership
Champion best practice and modernisation across the AP function
About You

Proven experience leading a large AP team ideally of 20+ in a high‑volume environment
Strong track record of delivering automation, process improvement, and digital transformation
Confident working with AI‑driven tools or advanced AP technologies
Inspirational leadership style with the ability to drive engagement and performance
Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or similarly complex industries is advantageous
