Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Northampton
Salary: £43,407 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, Rotating Shifts (6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm) (37.5 hours, Permanent)

Impact Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Northampton.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production machinery, plant equipment and site utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production machinery and plant equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
Maintain site utilities including steam systems, compressed air generation, water circulation systems and hydraulic equipment.
Service and maintain boilers, compressors, hydraulic units, control valves, pre-expanders and associated plant machinery.
Respond promptly to production breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs.
Carry out motor testing, component replacement and machinery diagnostics.
Complete routine inspections and accurately record all maintenance activities.
Carry out monthly spare parts stock checks and assist with ordering replacement components.
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant performance and engineering efficiency.Requirements:

Electrical and Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC or equivalent preferred).
Time-served engineering apprenticeship desirable.
Previous experience within a manufacturing maintenance environment.
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic and steam systems.
Good understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systems.
Excellent communication and organisational skills..What's On Offer:
