The school provides education for over 1,400 students across Key Stage 4 and Sixth Form and prides itself on being a fully inclusive and truly comprehensive school built on traditional values and high standards.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September 2026, with the opportunity for a permanent position for the right Teaching Assistant. The successful Teaching Assistant will support students with Special Educational Needs across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, working closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support, promote engagement in learning and help pupils achieve positive outcomes.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs
Previous experience working within a secondary school environment is desirable
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to adapt learning support to meet individual pupil needs
A positive, patient and proactive approach
A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed
