Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit reliable and motivated Production Operatives to join our key Department.
Role Overview:
As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating operating machinery to convert large rolls of material into smaller, customer-specific sizes. You will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met.
£13 per hour
Monday to Friday
shifts on rotation
6am - 2pm
8am - 4pm
2pm - 10pm
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor slitting machines safely and efficiently
Set up machinery according to job specifications
Measure, cut, and rewind materials
Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
Record production data accurately
Identify and report faults, defects, or machine issues
Maintain a clean and organised work area
Adhere to all health and safety procedures at all times
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet targets
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred)
Experience operating machinery (slitting experience desirable but not essential)
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong work ethic and reliability
Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Personal Attributes:
Positive and proactive attitude
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Flexible approach to shift patterns
Strong commitment to safety and quality
