We're supporting an innovative engineering company developing defence technology, who require an experienced contractor to support the early stages of an exciting new customer programme.
This isn't just another CAD role.
The initial focus will be on capturing customer requirements, writing clear engineering specifications and managing technical requirements before progressing into the redesign of complex equipment for an ATEX environment.
You'll be responsible for:
Capturing and documenting customer requirements.
Producing high-quality engineering specifications.
Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Developing SolidWorks designs as the project progresses.
Supporting the development of ruggedised mechanical systems.We're looking for engineers with experience in:
Mechanical Design Engineering.
SolidWorks.
Requirements capture and technical documentation.
Machinery, robotics, defence, aerospace or special purpose equipment.
Systems engineering or requirements management (Jama, DOORS or Polarion desirable).
ATEX or hazardous environments (advantageous).Contract Details
Initial 2-month contract.
Outside IR35.
Hybrid working (approximately four days on-site initially, with flexibility thereafter).
