Role Overview
On behalf of our client, an automotive bodyshop repair specialist we are currently recruiting an experienced Master Technician to join their experience team in Swanmore. This is a senior position responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex vehicle faults, supporting fleet reliability, and maintaining high workshop standards.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out advanced diagnostics and fault finding across a range of fleet vehicles.
Investigate and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues to minimise vehicle downtime.
Perform servicing, repairs, and major component replacements in line with manufacturer and company standards.
Support efficient workshop operations and maintain high technical standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to technicians within the workshop.
Identify recurring vehicle faults and implement effective long-term corrective solutions.
Ensure fleet vehicles remain compliant with all relevant safety and operational requirements.
Liaise with manufacturers and technical support providers when required to assist with complex technical issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workshop performance and fleet reliability.
Maintain accurate service and repair records in line with company procedures.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and safe working practices at all times.
Experience & Qualifications
Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding capability across electrical and mechanical systems.
Strong technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and fault diagnosis.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and vehicle safety.
Ability to prioritise workload effectively in a busy workshop environment.
Positive and proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
Experience identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions to recurring issues.
Previous experience in a Master Technician, Senior Technician role or equivalent.
Experience working within commercial vehicle, fleet maintenance, LCV, minibus, bus, coach, dealership, or independent workshop environments.
Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic experience.
Experience dealing with complex vehicle faults independently.
Manufacturer Master Technician accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential
