With ambitious growth plans & significant investment, a global manufacturer of precision engineered components supplied to the Aerospace & Defence sectors has a new vacancy for an EDM Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for the set up and operating of Spark and Wire Erosion machines to perform EDM precision machining operations.

The Role

Set up and operate machines.

Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and CAD data.

Manufacture high-precision components to required tolerances.

Perform machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Conduct quality inspections using measuring equipment.

Identify areas for machinery and process improvement.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality procedures.

The Person

Proven experience operating EDM machinery.

Able to read and interpret technical drawings.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Apprenticeship preferred.

Worked in a highly regulated industry (aerospace, automotive, energy, etc)

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
