Description
Job Purpose
The Learning and Development Advisor is accountable for designing and implementing strategies to support organisational transformation and effectiveness.
The post holder will specialise in learning and development and organisational development in Childrens' Social Care.
Specific Accountabilities of the Role
Ensure that equality, diversity, inclusion is at the heart of all practice and programmes.
Ensure that services are delivered to agreed customer service and response standards.
Establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and positively promote the HR&OD service and developing clear mutual expectations of the services offered and the role of managers.
Responsibility for assigned cost centres, including operational management of expenditure and income within budget.
Design and implement learning and development and organisational development strategies.
Designing the programme after due consultation with stakeholders and in line with the Council's OD and HR strategies
Programme planning within budgets and time constraints
Commissioning providers, from both within the Council and externally
Administering the course programme and placements
Evaluating the effectiveness of the programme (including return on investment and impact of learning activities) EXPERIENCE:
Learning and Development Experience.
Communication and Engagement experience, working with stakeholders 3. Awareness of the learning needs in a public sector setting. (ideally social care)
