Are you an experienced Traffic Planner looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced transport environment? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Client's busy transport office and manage a fleet of approximately 30 vehicles.

The Role
As a General Haulage Traffic Planner, you will be responsible for the effective routing and planning of fleet across the UK. You must be able to think on your feet, make quick, informed decisions, and remain calm when under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Working Hours

* Monday to Friday

* Every other Saturday morning ( either office or available on call)

Key Responsibilities

* Effectively route and plan a fleet of approximately 30 vehicles daily.

* Utilise the Traffic Management System to manage loads and vehicle tracking.

* Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and internal staff.

* Ensure all routes are optimised for efficiency while maintaining high service levels.

* Manage day-to-day changes and solve logistical problems as they arise.

Requirements

* Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a traffic planning role would be beneficial.

* Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of UK geography and transport routes.

* Tech Skills: Proficiency and experience in previous TMS, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.

* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Attributes: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
