Housing Services | South East | £400 per day (

If you’re a data-driven problem-solver who loves turning numbers into meaningful insight, this interim Performance Analyst role offers the chance to make a real impact. You’ll help a busy Housing Service understand what’s working, what needs attention, and where improvements will make the biggest difference for residents.

Working as part of an Insight & Improvement function, you’ll take ownership of performance reporting, analysis, and visualisation—shaping how information is used by managers, senior leaders, and regulatory bodies. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and the chance to influence service outcomes through high-quality analytics.

What you’ll be doing

· Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and performance reports for managers, leadership teams, committees, and external regulators.

· Analysing operational data to spot trends, risks, and opportunities—particularly across high-profile areas such as repairs, voids, and damp & mould.

· Creating, monitoring, and refining KPIs across Housing Services.

· Ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity across all reporting.

· Supporting the production of Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) and other regulatory submissions.

· Contributing to the development of data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.

· Identifying opportunities to automate reporting and improve data accessibility.

· Providing ad-hoc analysis and clear, accessible insight to non-technical audiences.

What you’ll bring

Essential:

· Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in data analytics, statistics, BI, or a related field.

· Strong experience using Power BI, Excel, and data visualisation tools.

· Confident working with databases, spreadsheets, and BI systems.

· Solid understanding of performance frameworks and KPI development.

· Ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable:

· Experience in housing, local government, or wider public sector services.

· Knowledge of housing performance measures, TSMs, and regulatory standards.

· Understanding of social housing legislation and regulatory frameworks.

· Experience with housing management systems and data quality governance.

· Data warehouse experience.

Skills & attributes

· Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.

· Excellent problem-solving and numerical skills.

· Clear, confident communicator able to translate data into meaningful insight.

· Highly organised with strong project management skills.

· Able to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
