An established and welcoming pre-school in Northampton is looking to recruit a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Early Years Practitioner to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to play an active role in supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced early years professionals to provide a stimulating environment where children feel happy, secure, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

Main Duties

Assist with the delivery of engaging activities that support children's development across all areas of learning
Help create a positive and nurturing atmosphere where children can thrive
Support children's social, emotional, physical, and language development through play-based learning
Contribute to observations and learning records in line with EYFS requirements
Encourage children to develop confidence, independence, and curiosity
Assist with daily routines, including snack times, personal care, and transitions throughout the day
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the setting

About You

Holds a recognised Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years
Has experience working with children in an early years setting, either through employment or placements
Demonstrates a good understanding of child development and early learning
Is warm, approachable, and passionate about supporting young children
Communicates effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
Works well as part of a team and is willing to learn from others
Shows commitment to providing high-quality care and education
