Job Description:

We are looking for experienced CNC Sliding Head Lathe (Swiss-Type) Programmer/Operator to work for a new and modern workshop in Leeds area. Our client is ambitious and rapidly growing precision engineering manufacturer.

Visa sponsorship considered but only for candidates already based in UK.

The Role

You will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components to tight tolerances for Medical industry.

Working Hours:

* Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:15

* Friday: 07:00 – 14:30

Afternoon and night shifts are availoable - please ask if that is your preference

Overtimes available.

Shift Premiums with overtimes:

PM £40 per shift

Night £60 per shift

Key duties include:

* Machine setup, tooling and program loading

* Editing/optimising CNC programs (G-code and/or CAM)

* First-off inspection and in-process quality checks

* Reading engineering drawings and working to GD&T

* Troubleshooting machining issues and improving cycle times

* Maintaining quality and compliance standards (ISO9001 / AS9100)

Key Requirements

* 3+ years’ CNC machining including Programming

* Experience working on sliding head lathes (Citizen, Star, Tornos etc.)

* Strong understanding of precision measurement and engineering drawings

* Experience machining stainless steel, titanium, aluminium or similar materials
