Connect Appointments is recruiting Assembly Operatives to join an established Oldham-based manufacturer.
Our client is an innovative manufacturing business producing specialist products across a range of sectors, including pharmaceutical, telecoms and food infrastructure.
What's on offer?
Ongoing temporary opportunity
Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm
£12.71 per hour - paid weeklyWorking as an Assembly Operative, your duties will include:
Assemble sheet metal cabinets and other fabricated products using engineering drawings and assembly instructions
Use hand tools, battery-powered tools, and air-powered tools safely and effectively
Fit and install components such as panels, doors, hinges, locks, handles, brackets, and fixings
Check products as you work to make sure they meet quality standards before moving to the next stage
Carry out visual inspections and report any faults, defects, or damaged parts
Keep your work area clean, organised, and safe at all times
Work to production targets while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE
Contribute ideas and support improvements to help make processes more efficient
Help with packing and preparing finished products for dispatch when requiredThe ideal Assembly Operative will have:
Previous experience operating a press brake machine
A keen eye for detail and a quality-focused approach to production
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
