Team Leader – Residential Children’s Care

Meridian Business Support are recruiting for a Team Leader to join a residential children’s service in Ribchester on a temp to perm basis. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to lead a care team, build experience in a specialist setting and secure a permanent position.
This role would suit an experienced Senior Support Worker or existing Team Leader looking to step into a structured leadership position within children’s residential care.
Job role As a Team Leader, you will take responsibility for leading shifts and maintaining a safe, supportive environment:
Lead and motivate a team of care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred support
Ensure the safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of young people at all times
Supervise staff performance through coaching, probation reviews and appraisals
Monitor and audit care practices to ensure compliance with Children’s Home Regulations and Quality Standards
Support the planning and delivery of activities tailored to individual needs
Promote positive behaviour support and encourage development and independenceSkills and experience We are looking for a confident and experienced care professional:
Level 3 RQF in Child and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) is essential
Experience in a senior or supervisory role within residential care or children’s services
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, autism, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge
Ability to lead a team and support the development of good practiceBenefits and environment You will be working within a specialist residential setting supporting young people aged 8 to 18 with autism and complex needs, in a rural location with access to outdoor activities and creative learning opportunities.
£15.88 per hour with opportunity to secure a permanent contract
Full time, stable hours - 42 hours per week
