The Supply Register is seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 child at a Primary school in LE67.
This is a full-time position starting in September and running until the Christmas break with chance of this being extended. You will be working closely with a pupil who has very specific needs, requiring a highly tailored, adapted timetable to help them thrive in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil.
Implement and adapt a specific, personalised timetable to suit the pupil's learning and emotional needs.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENDCo to monitor progress and adjust strategies.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
Requirements
Must have proven experience working with SEND pupils (specifically supporting children with complex or specific individual needs).
Ability to follow and adapt specialised schedules and routines.
Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to behavioral and learning support.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
