Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Erith, DA18
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + overtime available
Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer with extensive experience working within a food manufacturing environment? Do you have strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration and freezer systems?
We are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing food production business to support a modern manufacturing facility.
Key responsibilities:
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production and packaging equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults quickly and effectively
Maintain and troubleshoot refrigeration and freezing systems including blast freezer, tunnel freezer, spiral freezers, cold room and freeze room
Support compressors, chillers, evaporators, condensers and associated control systems
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and maintain accurate maitneance records
Respond to breakdowns and minimize production downtime
Work closely with Production and Operations teams to improve efficiency and reliability
Ensure all work complies with food safety, quality and health & safety standards
About you:
Minimum 5 years maintenance engineer experience
Food manufacturing of food processing experience
Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills
Experience with industrial refrigeration and freezing systems
Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
Strong problem solving and hands on approach
