Working Hours: Average 36 hours per week on rotating shifts:

Week 1 - Mon-Thu 05:45-13:45, Fri 06:00-15:00
Week 2 - Mon-Thu 13:30-22:15

Location: Chester (Cheshire)
Salary: £16.44 per hour (including shift allowance)

The Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Process Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring manufacturing processes within a designated production cell. Full cross-training will be provided.
This role involves the production of sheet lead using a variety of machinery, including rolling mills, slitters, and saws, while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve daily production targets in line with departmental requirements

Identify, report, and escalate equipment faults or issues that could impact production

Ensure all machinery and operating conditions are correctly set prior to manufacture

Accurately record production output and other operational data as required

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area at all times

Adhere to all company systems, procedures, and health & safety standards

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment

Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (beneficial but not essential)

Strong team-working skills

Flexible and reliable approach to work
