Year 2 Class Teacher (QTS Required)
Location: Southwark, South London
Contract: Full-Time

TeacherActive is proud to be recruiting on behalf of an Outstanding Ofsted-rated two-form entry primary school in Southwark for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher.
This welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school is seeking a passionate teacher who is committed to delivering engaging and high-quality learning experiences that inspire pupils to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 2 class within a supportive two-form entry setting, working closely alongside an experienced parallel teacher and a collaborative leadership team.
The class includes a small number of pupils with mild Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). To support inclusion and positive outcomes for all learners, a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant will be working within the classroom to provide targeted support where required.
The Role
Full responsibility for planning, preparation and delivery of engaging lessons for a Year 2 class.
Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with mild autism.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure excellent pupil progress.
Contributing positively to the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for pupil achievement.
A commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A positive, proactive and reflective approach to teaching and learning.
