White Label are excited to be working on a Design Engineer opportunity with a well-established engineering business in the Lancaster area.
This is a full lifecycle product development role, taking ownership from initial brief through to final production. You’ll be involved across concept design, feasibility, R&D, detailed design, testing, validation, and final delivery, ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
The role suits someone who enjoys end-to-end product design and getting involved in both the design and manufacturing side of engineering. There’s a strong focus on design for manufacture, product integrity, and continuous improvement, alongside hands-on involvement with testing, risk analysis, FMEA, and ISO-standard processes.
We’re looking for someone with the following:

SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD) experience
*
Background in Product / Design Engineering
*
Experience with manufactured components (injection moulding experience desirable)
*
Understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM)
*
Experience with structured development processes and project delivery
*
Exposure to validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ or APQP) would be beneficial
*
Experience working within ISO quality systems (e.g. ISO 9001 / ISO 13485) would be an advantage
It’s a hands-on, varied role where you’ll manage multiple projects at different stages and have real input into how products are designed and developed from the ground up.
Salary is £30,000 – £38,000 depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
