Responsibilities - Manufacturing Applications Engineer
Design, develop, and support applications used within a live manufacturing environment
Own the full application lifecycle: requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement
Work closely with production, engineering, and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day factory system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and optimisation of manufacturing systems and applications
Manage and prioritise incidents, ensuring critical issues are resolved efficiently
Collaborate with wider infrastructure and IT teams to ensure system stability and scalability
Build strong relationships with internal users, delivering a high standard of customer support
Qualifications / Experience - Manufacturing Applications Engineer
Experience in software development (e.g. C#, .NET, or similar technologies)
Knowledge of databases and/or web-based application development
Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or production environments is highly advantageous
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
Ability to translate user requirements into practical solutions
Comfortable working both independently and within a small, collaborative team
Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
