Attendance, Progress and Academic Skills Coach - 5 Posts
Salary £28,273 Pro Rata, Per Annum
Term-Time only - 35hrs per week.

The Role
We are looking to appoint 5 individuals with the skills, knowledge and experience to champion and support the most disadvantaged students by ensuring that all barriers to academic progress are removed.
The role requires you to act, where necessary, in the role of a mentor in terms of supporting high engagement with all elements of the Study Programme and a positive attitude to learning.
The role complements the work undertaken by other cross-college support teams and will require a high level of communication particularly with the Tutor team and the Learning Support and Student Engagement Team.
This role is ideal for anyone who has the desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our most disadvantaged young people by ensuring that each has a comprehensive and individualised package of support.
Successful candidates will be allocated to one of the following schools:
Adult Education
Business, Professional and Engineering
Creative and Digital
Customer Services Industries
English and Maths
What we are looking for
You should have a good standard of general education including a level 2 qualification English and maths (or equivalent) and experience of, or an aspiration towards working with young people (16–19). You will need the flexibility, enthusiasm and the ability to relate well to staff and students and the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with young people. Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and organisational abilities and Experience of working successfully as part of a team are also essential.
