Calibration Technician – Electronics Test Equipment
Take ownership of calibrating complex electronic test equipment used in high-integrity defence weapon systems, developing your experience in specialist technologies and your technical judgement in a structured environment, whilst gaining exposure that supports long-term career progression.
Salary and rewards
Circa £42,000
What you will be doing
Calibrating and maintaining specialist test equipment across a wide technical range from DC to microwave.
Supporting manufacturing teams through assembly integration and test stages.
Maintaining accurate calibration and maintenance records for traceability.
Working closely with engineers and support teams to resolve technical issues.
Flexibility and rewards

To be considered, applicants will need to have:
Experience in the calibration of test equipment.
Experience in the maintenance of test systems to component level would be a bonus.
Good understanding of calibration principles and processes.
Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities
Team oriented with a proactive attitude to problem solving
For this role, you must hold ALL of the following qualifications:
Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)
Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.)
Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ)
Where you will be based
Stevenage, onsite five days per week
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of the work undertaken by our client, applicants need to be eligible to gain and maintain UK security clearance to SC level. You will need to be a sole British national, or a holder of dual nationalities, of which one must be British.
