Concrete Finisher

Job Description
We are currently recruiting for experienced Concrete Finishers to join a long term construction project based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working on large-scale concrete pours, structural concrete, slabs, and finishing works. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality concrete finishes while working safely and efficiently as part of an experienced site team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Concrete Finisher looking for consistent, long-term work on a major project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out all aspects of concrete finishing including:
* Power floating
* Hand finishing
* Trowelling
* Screeding
* Levelling and smoothing concrete surfaces
* Edging and detailing works
* Assist with large concrete pours and ensure finishes meet project specifications
* Prepare and maintain concrete surfaces to a high standard
* Work from drawings and site instructions where required
* Complete curing, protection, and finishing processes
* Support shuttering, formwork, and general concrete works when required
* Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times
* Work closely with site management and other trades to meet programme deadlines
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher on construction, civils, or groundworks projects
* Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and processes
* Experience with power floats and large concrete pours essential
* Valid CSCS card (essential)
* CPCS / NPORS beneficial
* Ability to provide recent work references
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
* Good understanding of site health & safety requirements

Due to the nature of this project, candidates will be required to complete the relevant site checks and provide suitable documentation to meet client requirements before starting.
